Shock Waves Can Help Create Stars

Recent NASA observations found that shock waves near a clutter of cosmic dust can help create stars and other heavenly bodies

New information from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Spitzer Space Telescope has revealed that very small crystals called cristobalite and tridymite that form a large part of the stellar dust can stick together in the advent of shock waves, UPI reported.

The crystallized dusts then produce bigger lumps that will make cosmic asteroids and other forms of masses.
The shock waves have been shown to develop out of sonic booms that may also cause heating necessary for the crystal lumps to grow.

Scientists hope to understand the origin of our own planet and Solar System through delving into the recent study.
