da Lama' (block of the Mud) performs on Jabaquara beach in
Paraty, 263km from Rio de Janeiro, February 5, 2005. According
to popular beliefs, the sulphurous mud makes skin healthy and
beautiful. During Carnival, people dress up as cave men, cover
themselves with mud and parade through the streets.
